Ingredients:
Chicken tenderloins (get as many as you want to eat)
2 cups flour
Paprika
Onion powder
Garlic powder
1 tablespoon corn starch
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
Cold sparkling water
Vegetable oil to fry
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons hot sauce of your choice (I used cholula)
1 tablespoon honey
What to do:
Add chicken to a bowl and remove tendon.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour and 1 teaspoon of each seasoning onto chicken - mix & set aside.
Add 2 cups of flour to a separate bowl.
Add corn starch, baking powder & 1 teaspoon of each seasoning.
Take 3/4 cup of mixture out and into a separate bowl - add sparkling water slowly and mix until a bubbly smooth consistency is made.
Dip chicken into wet batter, transfer to dry. Transfer back to wet, then back to dry one more time.
Heat 3 inches of frying oil in a pot to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Carefully drop battered chicken into hot oil and dry for 5-6 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees fahrenheit.
Remove and let rest, make the sauce.
In a sauce pan on medium heat, add butter, hot sauce and honey. Melt together and mix well.
Brush sauce onto chicken.
Enjoy!
